Fujitsu fi-5530C

The fi-5530C is a very compact desktop scanner for paper sizes from A8 up to A3, including long documents (up to 863 mm) and embossed plastic cards.

The A4 portrait speed is 35 sheets per minute at 200 dpi resolution, single or double-sided, in black and white, grey scale or colour. The A4 speed increases to 47 sheets per minute if the documents are inserted sideways (landscape). Page rotation and automatic paper size detection functions, as well as de-scewing, auto-cropping, selectable black background and more are provided to enhance the image quality and increase production efficiency.

An ultrasound sensor reliably detects and prevents simultaneous feeding of two or more documents sticking together due to glue, staples, etc., hence ensuring that the front and back images originate from the same document.

Dual interface, USB 2.0 and Ultra SCSI, guarantees simple connection to any common system.

To further increase efficiency an optional inkjet imprinter (attached on the picture) is available. It allows printing of a user defined string of characters on the scanned document to endorse that it has been scanned or for archiving reasons.

Working environment:

The fi-5530C fits perfectly as a workgroup or departmental scanner for the decentralised archiving or workflow application. Its compact design allows placement on a user's desk. When not in use the output tray can simply be folded up, reducing the space occupied to no more than a normal inkjet printer.
